Increasingly, grocery stores are opting for retail wood floor displays and souring on metal and plastic displays. As organic, non-GMO, and gluten-free products continue to gain ground in the grocery channel, so too are wood fixtures that reinforce the “all natural” messaging that consumers have come to associate with these explosive growth product categories. It seems like today the winning formula is a combination of what is good for you and good for the environment. In today’s blog, we will take a look at 15 wood floor displays that will hopefully provide inspiration for your next retail display project. Many of these wood fixtures were designed for the grocery channel, but we’ve included some examples of wood displays that could work in a wide range of retail environments.
1. Big B’s Fabulous Juices- This 4-shelf floor display is constructed of common pine planks with a stained finish. It features a hanging sign with silk screened branding.
2. Clif Bar- This 6-shelf wooden display stand also features stained pine wood construction, castors, shelf signs, and die-cut side and header signs.
3. Dark Horse- This 4-shelf wood spirits display is constructed of solid wood planks with a gray washed finish. It includes removable side and header signs and permanent 2-color silk screen branding on the sides.
4. Epic- Our Epic display is also a 4-shelf solid wood floor display with a bit of a taller profile. We designed it to have a crate-like feel, finished it with a medium brown stain, added brand-reinforcing side signs, and included a hanging PVC header sign.
5. Hang Ten- This Hang Ten display features solid pine construction with a gray washed finish. We like the silk screened branding on the sides and the oval solid wood silk screened overlay header sign.
6. Hickory Farms- This 2-sided, 10-shelf floor display is a high capacity fixture on castors. It is constructed of solid wood with a white painted finish and features silk screened branding on the shelf fronts and on the header sign.
7. Grey Defence- We designed this knock-down, open-shelf wood floor display to be shopped on 2-sides. It includes 4 shelves, a raised base on castors with prominent base graphics, a side wire brochure holder, and a 2-sided PVC header sign.
8. Coola Floor Display- Although it shares several characteristics of the Grey Defence display shown above, this 4-shelf, 2-sided floor display has a completely different look and feel. It features a flat solid wood base on castors, side rails and a framed header sign. Its dark wood finish gives it a high-end look.
9. Ouhlala Gourmet- This Buddy Fruits shelf display is also a knock-down solid wood fixture with 5 shelves. It includes removable shelf and header branding and permanent silk screened branding below the header.
10. Dr. Harvey’s- This high finish 5-shelf display was designed to merchandise pet wellness products in independent pet stores. It features knock-down construction, LED lighting under each shelf, permanent side graphics, and die-cut PVC header graphics.
11. The Honest Kitchen– This graphic-intensive, 5-shelf floor display is constructed of solid pine with a high gloss clear coating. The display accommodates side graphics, horizontal and vertical shelf graphics, and a die-cut PVC header sign. Not only does it attract shoppers with its vibrant colors, but it provides ample space for product education and brand messaging.
12. La Brea Bakery- Designed to merchandise this premier artisan bread brand, this 3-shelf wood display is constructed using prefinished birch plywood that was cut on our CNC machine. We added castors, a side baguette holder, base graphics, shelf graphics, and a PVC header sign.
13. World of Good- This World of Good Display was designed to be a corner unit. Its fold-out construction accommodates 4 shelves, each of which has shelf graphics. We added dual solid wood header signs with silk screened graphics. This display blends into the background nicely and enables the consumer to focus on the unique products that have been sourced from around the world.
14. Muscle Milk- This Muscle Milk merchandiser was designed as a 4-sided open unit with 5 shelves. Constructed as a solid wood knock-down floor display, this fixture features shelf and header branding on all sides.
15. Wood Underwear- This 2-sided, 10-shelf floor merchandiser is made of solid wood and features a simple design with a low profile. It includes silk screened side graphics and 2-sided framed header graphics.
